We are pleased to share that Dmytro Makarchuk, Lead Instructor at KMSTC, took part in the panel discussion “The Maritime Roundtable: Where Every Voice Counts” at IMEC 2026.
The session brought together shipping industry representatives and seafarers to discuss how we can better attract and retain young talent, strengthen cooperation between maritime education providers and shipping companies, and create an environment where future seafarers can thrive from the very beginning of their careers.
Having progressed from cadet to Master with Marlow Navigation, Dmytro shared practical insights on career development at sea, the value of mentorship, and the importance of building a strong safety and leadership culture onboard.
